Sorry to disappoint you, this turbo has a wastegate. You can see it in the parent video of this one (first startup). ‘Surge’ & harmful stuff can not happen here as the wastegate lets out excess pressure when I go off the throttle, hence the sound must come from the wastegate.

BTW its not wastegate sound. I hear little compressor wheel surge sound at every gear change and rest is turbine wheel whining. Surge is cool sound but harmful to the turbo if surge happens with big boost.
And in fact, most tractor turbos don’t even have wastegate.

Sorry, I don’t understand your question. Do you mean max boost pressure?

Tractor Parts
it does seem to pull well now, never drove a 90 90 but those fiats are popular here in some areas of ireland, specially the turbo models.
Are there turbo kits available there for many types of tractor? Here you would have to find and adapt/ modify parts yourself

The turbo here is bought out of a kit for these motors, also had the diesel pump set up for turbo when we had to overhaul it anyway. the setup isn’t supposed to give very much power, but better fuel economy. but it seems to have gained a lot of low end grunt. see how it pulls all gears on a slight incline, it wasn’t that quick before.

It sounds great! Love the turbo noises and anth grunt from it. Has the conversion affected how it runs or given any problems?
My uncle used to convert toyota and nissan van and car engines to run turbos but the 1.8 litre corolla van engines would only last about 35,000 km like that. seemed like the turbo was too much for them
